Good things are happening for Rory Feek, which seems only right.

The country singer won his first Grammy award this month, for best roots gospel album for Hymns That Are Important to Us, the last album he made with his late wife, Joey.

And now he has a USA TODAY best seller. His new memoir, This Life I Live (Thomas Nelson), in which he lovingly remembers Joey, lands this week at No. 12 on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list. It was released on Valentine’s Day. (The full best-seller list will be published on Thursday.)

Joey Feek, half of the musical duo Joey + Rory, died last year at age 40 after a battle with cancer. The couple married in 2002.

In an interview with USA TODAY about his book, Feek spoke of how their love story goes on. “It’s strange because she’s been gone a year, but I don’t feel like she’s very far away,” he said. “I didn’t know what I would feel, but I didn’t expect her to be so present — I mean present in my heart, my life and in our daily activities, in our conversations.”
